Prices and specifications of the new Maserati Grecale SUV
The new Maserati Grecale is now available to order in the UK and you can have it in three trim levels: GT, Modena and the high-performance Trofeo.
The base GT model starts from £58,500 and is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine making 300hp. An upgrade to the Modena will set you back £64,500 and get you 30bhp and extra 20in instead of the GT's 19in units.
Hand over £95,590 for the Grecale Trofeo and you get a 3.0-litre V6 from the MC20 supercar, along with a more aggressive body kit and lowered, beefed-up suspension.
Maserati Grecale Review
Standard equipment is unique across the range, as is typical of luxury SUVs. All cars come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, active cruise limitation, front and rear parking sensors, a rear camera and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. 0.3 inches.
New Maserati Grecale SUV engines
The new Maserati Grecale is available with three engines, two 2.0 liter petrol units and a 3.0 liter V6. The GT model's 2.0-liter unit produces 300 hp, then the Modena gets 330 hp.
Then you have the Trofeo Performance model. It uses a modified version of the engine from the Maserati MC20. It's a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 that produces 530bhp and 620Nm of torque, 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of around 177mph.
Next year there will also be an all-electric version of the Grecale, called the Folgore.
Not much has been revealed about this model, but it will have a 105kWh battery, 400V charging technology, and deliver up to 800Nm of torque — that's more than what you'll find in the Tesla Performance Model Y.
Every petrol Grecale will come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. All base-level GTs will be equipped with a limited-slip differential, as will be standard On some models, you can also get adjustable shock absorbers and air suspension at an additional cost.
Maserati Grecale SUV with new design
The new Maserati Grecale takes many styling cues from other vehicles in the range, such as the three air intakes on the front fender and the Maserati logo behind the tailgate.
In front of you is the traditional Maserati grille design with vertical slats and a large logo in the centre. On Trofeo Performance models you also get aggressive air intakes integrated into the lower front bumper, while the electric Folgore gets a more enclosed fascia (see below).
On the side, 19-inch alloy wheels are standard, but 20- and 21-inch options are available. All Grecale models are equipped with door handles and the sides are quite simple with only a few lines to make them look more muscular. Trofeo models have sporty side skirts and wheel arch extensions.
At the rear you can tell the Trofeo by the four tailpipes and the rear diffuser. There is also a subtle boot spoiler and the Maserati logo at the rear. The electric Folgore has a more subtle rear treatment with a smaller diffuser.
Interior and infotainment of the new Maserati Grecale SUV
The interior of the new Maserati Grecale deviates slightly from previous Maserati models, with screens now dominating the cabin.
You get a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen in the center, paired with an 8.8-inch screen below for the climate controls. You also get a digital demo, and even the watch is now a display. The screen available as an option is the upper display screen, according to the customer's desire.
As for the design, it appears to be very clean and elegant. There's plenty of leather and metallic trim around the place, and the full-width air vents are a nice touch. Trofeo models get additional carbon fiber and perforated leather to emphasize their sportier characteristics
